Spinoff to Father/Daughter Dance

I do not have a sweet, mushy relationship with my Father.
He's cool, but we have had our issues and aren't super close.
With that said, I am having a difficult time choosing a song for us to dance to. I def still want to do this, just need an appropriate song.
Any suggestions would be amazing!

I have the same exact problem. I wanted to do the father/daughter, mother/son dance all at the same time so it won't be so much spoltight on it, but I know FMIL won't like the idea at all, so I'm back to the drawing board.

I mean I love my dad, but I am kinda dreading this....I think I'm gonna feel SUPER awkward.

i don't think it's too mushy..... i don't currently have a relationship with my father unfortunately. if I dance, it will be with my brother to this.

ok so me and my dad have a pretty good relationship but my dad is such a sap!!! So i didn't want to do anything too mushy that would make him sad so that's why I chose Rascall Flatts...not too sappy

does your dad have a non-traditional song he loves??

i went to a wedding where the dad played 'sweet child of mine' (it's a rock song, maybe guns and roses???)

and it obviously wasn't mushy at all, but it was still really special and cute because the brides whole side of the wedding knew it was her dad's favorite band, and I'm sure the grooms fam was able to figure it out as well.
