Re: spinoff to florist
I haven't done flowers yet, but my sister (who got married 5/04) told me when she went looking she told the florist how much she wanted to spend per centerpiece etc and then had the florist show her what she could do for that budget.
She said all the florists were accomodating and worked within the budget. Ultimately the choice was between Burtons in Huntington and Hengstenbergs in Northport. She went with Hengstenberg, and they did a fabulous job.

Re: spinoff to florist
I haven't booked yet but National Floral gave me the best price and I saw Signature Florist and Simply Stems as well. Today I have an appt with my local florist, Dennis Rigas. So far the differential b/t the highest and lowest price is $700 so definitely shop around!

We're using Signature Florist. I think our cps (black magic roses, varigated pit, holly, and 3 different size pillar candles in a wreath) are $65 each.

It comes out to approximately $65/$75 per CP, but honestly, it's b/c of a huge discount they have me b/c FI is friends with the owner. Otherwise, I know a lot of NFW who got high cp's for about $85/$90....
here's a pic of my sample CP
