Spinoff to florist thread...is it too early for me UPDATE

to ask George for a sample cp. I am going to be on the island 8/20 and 8/27 and thought maybe I could go by and talk to him a little more about and maybe see something to make sure it's what I want....I am just not sure if 8 months away is too soon.

**UPDATE** I just spoke to George and he said I can drop off the stuff ( I already purchased the julep cups, still have to order the candelabra) and he will create me a sample for the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend!

I have to go out to Lloyd Neck that day, so I will pass by and take LOTS of pics! woo hoo!

Not at all! He made my sample for me a long time ago. I don't see why he wouldn't make it for you.

I don't know if you meant this specifically for the Signature girls or not...BUT...

I got my Sample CP a week after I booked my florist...You can always make changes, but getting a sample now doesn't hurt...

I dont think its too soon. Have you already booked him? I am thinking I would like to see one before I book and warn him I might change my mind.

I got my Sample CP a week after I booked my florist...You can always make changes, but getting a sample now doesn't hurt...

I am a nut and have already changed my mind about one part of it and also ALL of the colors with the exception of my bo-k.

my cp is in three parts, and I want the middle part changed.

Ok, here is my sample cp- black magic roses with pillar candles. Oh- and the vendela rose bo-k is my bm's bo-k.

As for my cp, I think FI wants to have some holly put in there (he thinks it's cute). What kind of silver do you recommend putting in it?

that's a great idea Lisa...please do the honors...I have nothing to post on it yet.

I am not sure hollie....when I worked in Haagen-Dazs I used to decorate the cakes and at Christmas time I woul use red but always accent it with silver beads...now, I used edible candy beads...but I think a little silver in there would look phenomenal in the candle light...then again, it already looks fantastic to this could all be for nothing...
