SPINOFF TO: Fortunoff is following MACY's

FH and I went to MACY's today and we bought all 16 of our flatware place settings. We opened an account to get an additional 15% and according to FH we may have saved ourselves quite a few hundred dollars - maybe even close to $1000. We are getting some of it back because each of my sisters are going to reimburse us for ONE of the buy two get one free deal. We only had to buy one at the sale price by itself because we had 16 and not 15 place settings.

MACY's is matching Fortunoff's offer. They will be including the bowl bonus. They told us that whatever Fortunoff offers at any time, they will match it. (Some of the items in the circulars at MACY's will end on the 30th)
So now, FH's parents are going to return what they bought at full price at Fortunoff and buy the three place settings at MACY's. The sale on the CHINA place settings at MACY's will be running through August - or so they told us at the registry desk. With the money they saved, we may end up with an additional one or two place settings more than they already bought us. I am very excited. It is very important to us, with our large families, to have a full complete formal table. Now if we can complete the china with all of the serving pieces, we will be in good shape. My b-day is next week so you never know!!!
Sorry so wordy but if it helps people save money it may be worth it. Even if you don't buy it yourself, you can steer people towards what you like so THEY can save too.
