spinoff to girls with divorced parents.... church ceremony

FH's parents are going through a divorce. I'm having a catholic ceremony where the parents of the bride and groom walk down the aisle. My mother will be escorted by my brother because my dad will be with me..... but what about FH's parents? Do they walk down the aisle seperately? Doesn't his mom have to be escorted? If so, FMIL's brother can escort her, but then what about FFIL? Does he walk down alone even though FMIL is escorted?

Well if they're civil enough to walk together, they can do that.

If not, yes - someone needs to escort FMIL. As for FFIL, does he have a sister, or is FH's grandmother around? Or maybe he can walk in with FH?

I dont think people will think twice about his sister walking with him... i never would think she was escorting him... he shouldnt walk alone...

I think it would be fine with FFIL walking in with his sister. I just saw that you posted on the other thread that they are walking into the reception together, so why not the ceremony too?

yea, you guys are right. I guess I just thought about it as FFIL being escorted, which initially seemed wierd to me. But i guess it makes sense.

So my next question is, should he walk down with his daughter (FSIL) or with his sister? If FSIL walks him down, she would have to come back around to the back of the church to walk down as a BM. This isn't a big deal because my brother will be doing the same after he escorts my mother. So which makes more sense? FSIL or FFIL's sister
