I wonder if not giving the option of 'how many' will be more of a problem than having asked. I guess I was just assuming that people would know that the invite was for whom ever it was addressed to. hmmm, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I did the same - I have inner envelopes with the FIRST names on them, so if they add someone to the RSVP they are going to have a crazy bride on their hands

This is what we did and MOST did not add or change the number. They just put Mr & mrs. soand so

My invitation also has an inner envelope. Am I assuming to much that they will know how many I have reserved for them based on the inner envelope.

I don't think you are assuming too much, I just don't want to take the chance because I know how my family is....

Most of my cousins got married quietly, so this is a first big wedding that my family has had in a long time...I don't want anyone to think that the world is invited!!!! ( although I feel like the world is invited with a guest list of 275!!!

You should do whatever you feel is right for you!
