Spinoff to guests wearing white to your wedding

Spinoff to guests wearing white to your wedding

I'm clearly not doing this and I think my guests would all hate me for it, but I think it would be kind of cool if all of the guests wore all white, and the bride wore a different color. Kind of like Puff Daddy's annual 'white party'

I doubt most people have all white clothes, and of those who do it wouldn't be formal enough (for the guys) or would be too formal (for the ladies) but I think it would be cool to go to a party like that.

Probably would have been a good idea to throw as a sorority/fraternity mixer type thing since most greeks have all-white clothing for... other events

This is all purely hypothetical, but what would your reaction be if you were invited to a wedding and asked to wear all white? Would you go out and buy a white dress? would you RSVP no? would you think it was a cool idea?

I went to sooo many frat parties that were all white parties! and I always went out and bought white dresses.

As for an all white wedding, I would do it if the couple wanted that, I mean it is there day, and if thats what they want I would totally go, sounds like fun!

i love theme parties.
i'd totally go.
the only thing is, most people i know who have White Balls take into consideration that most people don't have 'appropriate' white clothing.
So the bride and groom might have to be a little more lenient on how formal people were.

i know if i were close to the couple i'd jokingly ask if i could wear my gown lol

Will you play Billy Idol's 'White Wedding' too? Sounds very cool to me.

This is cool, but I just feel like the bride should wear white... maybe I'm old fashioned... but I'm not really a fan of brides who wear color on their wedding day. It just doesn't seem right to me... It's cool though if that's what you're into.

I guess I would buy a white dress. I don't know what FH would wear though. This seems like it would work better in the summer when people can wear linen and they are tan.

I dunno...it really would depend on who your guests are and how they'd respond to wearing white. A lot of heavier women tend to stay away from white because it often makes them look heavier, and a lot of older women also feel like white is for younger ladies (at least they say that in my family). Also, I at least don't own any white dresses, and maybe others don't either...so then they'd have to buy something just to wear to your wedding (and possibly never wear again).

I'm just bringing up some possible objections that some guests may have, but if you think your guests are not likely to have these objections, then by all means go for it!

Honestly, as a guest, I would feel somewhat annoyed. I don't think the bride and the groom should dictate the dress for the guests beyond the level of formality. I would feel the the bride and groom put me in a position where I'd have to spend extra money and time to find a suitable outfit (since most dressy clothes aren't white) that I wouldn't have much chance of wearing again or, if I attended in regular clothes, make me look like a poor sport because I didn't comply with the dress code.

The bride and groom can wear whatever they want according to their theme.
