Spinoff to HM question

I know if you are taking your HM right after the wedding you should book everything under your Maiden name but what about if you are not taking your HM directly after the wedding.

FH and I are not planning on going on our official HM until Nov/Dec of 2011 - 6 months after the wedding. We are going to be booking the HM a year in advance (Nov/Dec 2010 because we're taking advantage of an Early Bird booking special for the resort. So, when the time comes, would I put this reservation under my maiden name or my married name?

By November you *should* have your marriage license so I think it should be married name. I think when we book the cruise for this September/October, I'll be using my married name.

ok that's what I though - figured any sort of documents by that time will have been officially changed.

You can put it under your married name if you'll have your marriage license. You should also get your passport and driver's license changed with your married name. Otherwise I think* you can travel with your marriage license and passport under your maiden name - but you should check that.
