Sorry ladies, can you tell I'm obsessing over BM dresses this week?
My question is:
When choosing your BM dress, did any of you take into consideration how it would compliment your own gown?
I know many of you chose color and let your girls pick style, but the Brides who are having all the girls in one style, was this a major factor for you? I feel like I'm getting hung up coordinating the dresses to mine...
Thanks again.

Yeah, I will be coordinating their style of dresses to mine, too.

Re: Spinoff to 'How Did You Choose BM Dress'
I'm not even thinking about that anymore!!
Originally I was, but then I realized...I'm having a strapless poofy ballgown with rhinestones and beading everywhere. The closest I was going to get to them having the same style was having them strapless with some crystals.
I did find some I liked, and my mom kept saying the BM dresses are supposed to be similar to mine, but who in this day and age has their BMs in poofy ballgowns??
So needless to say, I care more about their comfort and looking good than how they complement me.

I did only in terms of fabric. Mine is a thick silk with a bit of a sheen to it. We chose satin BM dresses. They look lovely with each other.

It never even crossed my mind to get BM dresses to coordinate to my dress. I am just looking for something my girls will like and that they can wear again. My dress is very heavily beaded with lots of tulle. NO satin for this bride!!!

Re: Spinoff to 'How Did You Choose BM Dress'
I absolutely did not think about my own dress when picking the BM dresses. Actually, I let each girl pick her own dress...they all have different bodies and I'm against matching so much it looks like prom or a Sweet 16. Some things are worth obsessing over, but BM dresses was not it for me. If you want to see what they looked like, there are some pics in my review...

Re: Spinoff to 'How Did You Choose BM Dress'
i went to the salon with 2 of my girls and had them narrow the choices down (completely their choice) and then i put on my gown and we saw how they complimented each other. one just stood out from the rest
