So I started like 2 months ago - by the time the wedding rolls around I will be here 7 months.
I work w/ a pretty big team - there is about 9 of us, and I really can't invite all of them
My thought was to invite the VP and SVP and their spouses but I don't work as closely with them as the 2 senior account exec's.
I was also thinking about where they live, most in the city and even NJ so why would they come? Especially if they don't have cars (the NYC folks).
My SVP lives on LI so it's a good possibility she would come.
Any thoughts?

Re: Spinoff to invite ques - New co-workers
If you don't hang out with them outside of work, I say no. I get along well with most of the people who sit around me, but, I will not be inviting them. Are they going to be genuinely happy for you like your family and close friends?? If the answer is no, then I say no

I agree. The only co-workers that will be invited to the wedding are my immediate bosses and the few co-workers that I do hang out with outside of work.

thanks ladies. i really didnt think about it that way, i dont hang out w/ them outside of work.
I really might only keep it to the SVP and VP and extend the invite to everyone else to come to the church only.

i have three immediate bosses and one co-worker on the same level as me. they will be the only ones invited. i have like 15 other people in my department - i can't possibly invite them all.

I am inviting my boss, and def about 5 of my coworkers. I may invite more not 100% sure. I do not hang out with them outside of work, but I am very close to them at work and I spend 9 hours a day with them 5 days a week and I would love to have them there!

Been at my job 4 yrs, and not inviting anyone. It's about 4 of us, and we do not talk outside of work, so no invite.

Re: Spinoff to invite ques - New co-workers
I'm having the same problem. I started a new job last september and by the time the wedding comes, it will be a year ill be there. I work in a really small group (5 people) and we are already pretty close. I'm thinking of inviting them but then that's like 5 extra people plus their significant others. I don't knwo if ill invite them or not. Ill feel bad when i come back from the honeymoon and they ask about the wedding. I'm waiting a couple of months when I finalize my guest lis to decide. Gook luck to u
