Spinoff to Jackie's post: Has anyone seen Wintuk?

Jackie's post reminded me that I meant to buy tickets for this months ago. Has anyone seen it? How is it? I know some Cirque shows are better than others.

I'm looking at tickets online right now for this weekend which is the only time we can go so thanks for reminding me!

I think I'm going to go anyway. If he's dragging me to Tuba Christmas in the city this weekend, I'm getting something out of it.

I saw it last year...it was a really nice...the 'storyline' was a little silly IMO, but the acrobatics were very good...I recommend it

I know exactly what you're saying. I was really bummed about Zoomanity when I saw it. I mean, I'm all for sex but it was a little too much sex and too little acrobatics for me.

I'm a huge Cirque fan. I've seen 11 diff Cirque shows and Wintuk was among the ones I liked the least. It's definitely great for kids but IMO I'd rather see the Radio City Christmas Show.

Thanks ladies!

Turns out Tuba Christmas isn't this Sunday anyway, it's next Sunday but I think we're going to see it anyway. Worst case scenario is I don't like it as much but I'm sure it's at least entertaining.

I've seen 4 Cirque's, and Wintuk was definitely much different than the others.

The cool thing about Cirque is that it's a theatrical circus - with lots of drama, intrigue and artistry. Wintuk was very different - it's on a stage and is much more scripted than any other Cirque performance I've seen. The acrobatics aren't as impressive either.

That's just my opinion though. If you haven't seen Cirque live before, it'll probably be a good time. But if you've seen other shows, you may be somewhat disappointed.
