What has been the most amusing thing you have heard from your family our your in laws, concerning something that SHOULD be done or CONTINUE to be done once you are married.... ?
for example: i am moving in with FH, his parents are leaving HOWEVER his godmother is still living in the Attatched house.....
what i heard this weekend.... you want a dishwasher?! but why cant YOU just hand wash them like we all do.... ?
me: do u plan on washing them for us?! (i REALLY didnt mean for that to come out... i REALLY meant that to only stay in my brain....)
also.... YOU want a dryer for the laundry... ? u cant hang it up!?
me: its not the same... her: you dont kno how to do it.... me: yeah i do .. insert quarters and press start THANKFULLY she has a GREAT sense of humor.....

It wasnt really a comment on what we 'should' do.BUT...
My family has never been one to have proper table setting order and crap like that, so I dont know the 'proper' way to set a table- nor do I give a sh!t.
As long as i have a fork and knive, drink and napkin- im good- i dont care it they are not in exact proper order (like glass to the top right, etc)
So FMIL is really into it- even if we have paper plates and bbq. Well, while i was helping set the table (the wrong way) she has said to me 'hasnt your mom ever taught you to set the table'. And then she always moves things I put down!
EEEWWW- NO- my mom isnt the table settign nazi. BTW- we learned to use our sleaves instead of napkins.
So I guess FMIL thinks I should learn to set a table. If I host a dinner party, I will- but, until then- tough noogies!
ETA- what i do wrong (according to her) is put the knive and fork on the napkin b/c I dont like it touching the table..lol I have issues- HAHA

yeah his godmother did the SAME thing when i PUT A PILLOW IN THE PILLOW CASE!? she REDID IT FOR ME!!!!! meanwhile his mom gave me new sheets so i can change the bed.... FMIL left so i can do it... but the godmother came up to 'make sure' i did it 'properly'
oh living in that house will be fun.... UNTIL i change the locks!

Haha...I do the same thing when I set the table so I guess that I have issues too!
