I posted it on the other thread, did you see?
There was an article/blurb in Glamour or Cosmo a few months ago that suggested to change every month and to not leave in the shower area, but to let it dry outside of the shower.
ETA: kind of hard to do since I wouldn't want it to drip all over the floor!

LOL, I just edited my post with the same thing. I honestly have no clue where you would put it to dry??! I don't know.

I've gotten to the point where I can't shower without mine, but they're such a pain to take on vacation - where do you put it? I usually take a zip lock and stick it in, but it's always gonna get yucky...

Honestly ... I think if you are overall generally a healthy person you are fine ... just be a little aware of cleaning it - rinse all the soap out really good after each use, use peroxide or alcohol as someone suggested, and throw it out after a bit of time.

That's what I do!
I also have a friend that every now and then throws her in her microwave to kill germs. Don't know if it works or not.

i never used one, i seem to see one in peoples showers hanging on the water spout and has mold on it, so it kinda turned me off on the idea lol....

I think some come with a little suction cup attachment, so you could hang it to dry on the opposite side of the shower.
