spinoff to my own post: jessica mcclintock sizes

are they sized differently? according to their chart im an 8 and ive never been an 8. i just want to make sure i order the right size.

my wedding gown was a jesscia size 8 and it was big on me, so i think they run big.

thanks. i usually wear 4-6, so 8 makes me hesitant to order it. maybe ill go to the store and try one on, then order online.

I think their sizes are messed up, two of my BM tried on the size 8 in the store and it fit perfect, so when they ordered the size 8, they came in VERY small, one fit into just barely, and the other couldn't even zip it up!!!! And another BM who normally wears a size 10-12 fit in to a 8!!!! Go figure!!

Thats really strange b/c I have one BM who normally wears a 0/2 she tried on a size 4 at JM one day and couldt get it to zipper!!!!! The 6 fit her perfect

I think they run a little on the large side. I always have to get them taken in.

One of my friends went to try on the BM I picked and they didnt have it so they gave her a similar style... then they said, 'oh its a bridesmaid dress, let me give you one of those to try on' and it fit differently. So if youre going for a BM dress, try on a BM dress, if its a regular dress, try on a regular dress if they don't have the one you want.

Most of my friends found the size to be the same as what they usually wear...
