Spinoff to my review poll: How helpful did you find the Brides' Reviews throughout the planning process?
Personally, I read a bunch of reviews in regard to selecting a hall. Once we were 95% sure that Swan Club was the place we wanted (which didn't take long at all), I scoured the reviews of SC.
I also used the reviews as a main reason why I did NOT allow David's Bridal to do the alterations on my gown.
The DJ and photographer that we picked (FM Entertainment and Twelfth Night) came from recommendations of some 2010ers, and then I checked up on them in the reviews as well before scheduling meetings with them.
I'm clearly kinda bored at work right now, LOL..

I had the hardest time choosing a florist and I used the brides review numerous times between vendor recs, looking at the flowers, horror stories, etc.... I think its super helpful.

Honestly, right now I don't read them really.. I just look at pics.
When I was booking vendors I was search the vendors name and read what came up.

when i first started planning i used them occasionally...now i never read them.
however, i do still wanna do mine for those ladies who do look at them frequently in case it can help someone else.

thats pretty much ALL i do is look at the pics..
i will read the vendor names and see what grade they got... but i never read the entire thing

i found it helpful especially when it came time to booking vendors. i would get girls' recommendations on here and then search in the brides review to see who used them for a detailed review.

I always read them
I found them to be very informative - especially in the beginning when I first started planning.

I definitely used the reviews alot early on in the planning process and even now I am researching them looking for a hair and makeup person

ITA that is how I ended up with my DJ and videographer plus like Kris said I also used that to look up my RH while booking (that is how I came upon LIW actually)

At the beginning of my planning I used them ALL the time...found them to be SO helpful. I would not have found OFC were it not for the reviews!
Now....I mostly just look at the pics

I would say ANY vendor I used I checked out review a lot before booking them. But not just on LIW because frankly besides the venue most of my vendors are not super popular LIW vendors. If that makes sense? Like there are probably a dozen or so vendors in each category that are VERY popular on here.
The actual Brides Review on here I find not so helpful. I find it kind of outdated? It seems like only a handful of brides write reviews each year.
So we should all write one even if it's small and sweet to add to it!
