I am not going to. I was thinkin about it, but the florist said it would be an additional $200 so why spend the money?

I'm not planning on it, but I think my FMIL might do a little something for up on the alter.

Re: spinoff to NOT doing...
My mom said something really cool the other day IF i was doing the church thing she said you try to line it up with a funeral because most instances they leave the flowers behind because they can't take them to the final destination. She said she been to two weddings where they took of the ribbons and used the flowers IoI

I just can't picture myself hoping that there will be a funeral that day. But thanks Jenn!!! Maybe I can hook up with a bride that is having her ceremony/mass before mine.

I have heard this also. Strange.. but hey... savings.
Also, alot of churches have flowers already, so you may want to ask yours if they have some available.

Re: spinoff to NOT doing...
I was going to until I realized that we're getting married the weekend after easter and my church goes ALL OUT with spring flowers for easter and we went last year the weekend after easter just to make sure everything still looked good and alive and everything was perfect!
All I'm going to have to pay for now is some pew bows

Aside from an aisle runner (which isn't even definite yet) I don't think I am either Jenn. St. Patrick's doesn't need it... I feel like flowers would get lost in all of the detail of the church OR take away from the detail and beauty.
So funny, my mom and I were just talking about this the other dya.

I've heard of people doing this... they get in touch with the bride that is getting married before or after them and see if they'd like to split the cost of the flowers for the church and they can both use them..

Yeah, I might get a colored aisle runner if i can get a good price...
Are you doing a custom one? With your names and everything?
Maybe if you just do a saying or something we can split the cost? Just throwing that out there (considering we'd need the same size)...

Re: spinoff to NOT doing...
I wasn't going to at first because I think that St. Kilian's is really pretty in itself but our Florist (Pedestals) gave us such a good price that I couldn't pass it up!

I am not planning on flowers for the church. My flower budget is extremely limited...
