Have you ever been to a shower where they did NOT give out favors???

i've always received a favor from a box of choclates to a piece of crystal its up to you what you want to do.

Actually my cousins shower I did not receive a favor. And I didn't receive one for her wedding either. I don't think she knew to give favors out. She's not the britest crayon in the box.

It's not necessary to give a favor though.

I agree that it's not necessary to give favors at all. I never understood when people would comment about not receiving a favor. To be totally honest, I rarely receive ones I want, anyway!

I have been to showers where I haven't received a favor. Honestly, most of the time they end up in the garbage anyway so I don't care.

Yea thats what I figured....that its not necessary to give them out. I just wasnt sure if there would be those people who are like 'oh...we went to jenn's shower. ya know, they didnt give out favors '

Its funny because one of my showers definitely had a favor and I think my other one will too.. but Im not doing favors at my wedding.

I wish I didn't get them , quite honestly...I hate stuf like that (unless it's chocolate - that's a different story!)

I always throw favors away, then wonder when I have people over if they are looking for their favor....

that's why we're doing donations at our wedding....

This is not for a shower but for weddings, my mom was very surprised when I wanted to give favors at my wedding. Apparently its just not done in the jewish religion

no, i've never been to a shower that didn;t have favors.
at my bridal shower, we had 2!
i thinl sometimes instead, the $ is used for a donation. . .
a favor is just a nice thank you to the guest for coming and giving a gift
