Spinoff to Spinoff- WHICH McDonald's did you work at??
I was in Lynbrook in 1983-1985 (HS and during breaks from college), but we sometimes went to cover at other McD's, or went to do borrow & loan.
I worked in Hicksville, Freeport, and Merrick I think...oh yeah and Franklin Square...

I worked at the McDs in Laguardia Arpt (United Terminal, I believe) in '93.

Don't mean to hijack, but did you all eat McDs during your shifts? I worked 5 days a week, and had a free meal each day I worked... . Thankfully, I was still a teen, and didn't have to work hard to keep the pounds off.

Yes, I ate there. Hey, it was free, mom and dad worked on the weekends (out east). I wasnt cooking for myself..LOL I would try to grab salads if it was lunch time though, but, I wasnt good all the time. DH and I just recently started eating there again. After working there so long, I had no interest in the food for years.

I was young too 15 or 16 so I COULD eat that everyday and not gain a pound..the good ol days. I would even bring some home!

I never wasted my time on the salads... always had 2 hamburgers, fries, drink & 4 nuggets... ahhhhh, the good old days of stuffing my face as a teen! DCSAAB06, I never gained a pound, either!

On a good day..me and my friends (the ones who worked with me) would eat a Mc Lean...remember those????????? The better of the burger with less FAT! Yea right! Not around anymore are they?

Debbie - what years did you work in Plainview? I knew someone who was a manager there in HS!

Aaron - last name with an I. He graduated from HS in 91 - so he was there the couple of years before that.

I was always heavy and yes I ate all the food - long before the McLean or Salad days!! A healthy meal there was a sundae without the topping and a burger. But I would make the good stuff.....yum.
Funny thing is...I STILL love Mickey D's and when I was pregnant (for a whole 8 weeks) would crave their double-cheeseburgers!!
