Spinoff to tapered jeans: It looks like 80's is back!
I happened to notice yesterday when I was flipping thru the Victorias Secret Fall catalog, that everything is soooo 80's. I'm talking back when 80's was VERY 80's...tunic shirts, deep v-necks, tapered jeans, crazy colored pants, thick heeled pumps, etc.
I dont know about anyone else, but I think I'm going to stock up on 'normal clothes' for now until this thing blows over! I hated the 80's style clothing--it didnt flatter anyone. I thought thats why they moved on to bigger and better (and trendier) things...but I guess they ran out of ideas.
I dont know who the mastermind was who tunred around one morning and said 'ya know what styles were great? The 80's! Lets bring it all back'...but whoever it was should really look into a new line of business.

i agree- i cant seem to get myself into the 80 fashion at all.

I don't mind leggings under mini skirts and off the shoulder flash dance shirts... but shoulder pads... big hair.... and tight legged jeans. EHH... I'll pass!!

I can deal with the big hair-I'm hoping that comes back (that was the best look for me with my mane of hair..the straight sleek look is rough when you have thick curly hair!)
BUT I have no use for acid wash denim jackets decorated with a bedazzler, air brushed-grafitti sweatshirts, slouch socks, keds with no laces, shoulder pads, wearing my collar of my shirt up, stir-up pants, neon colors...I could go on for days!!
Every once in a while I will see some woman wearing one of those articles and I can't help but wonder...where did she get that, the 80's store???

About the only thing i can deal with a comeback is the taylor dane hairstyle. I have the mop of curly hair too , cepy my hair hasnt seen a difuser since, well since the 80's..LOL

I have worked very hard to hide all of the pictures of me with 10 foot high hair filled with AquaNet and different colored leg warmers. I'll be darned if Im going to have new sets of pics running around!
