Spinoff - to those in invite hell - had to share my invite story...
I came over to my Dad's office Monday morning at 7:30 to figure out what to do with printing on the envelopes - came out like sh!t, so then we haul azz over to staples to buy clear labels.
We go back to his office - he doesn't know how to make any other labels except office-looking ones - like for his mailing lists, so he tools and tools and tools around on the computer - at this point i am turning every color in the rainbow, and to top it all off, he mumbles and doesn't finish his sentences and snaps half the time, so discussing things with him was so not happening...
Finally - it's 11:00 (!!!) - I have to go to work already - he says - wait - let me try printing off the other (and much better) printer - this is the printer he uses for his professional brochures, and it comes out gorgeous - no labels - right on the envelope.
Thats when he tells me he'll just do it on Wednesday night without me.
THats when I had to relinquish ALL control - my numbered RSVP list (promise me you'll put all the corresponding people to the numbers - PROMISE me!)
my highlighted and prioritized invite list (these are the A-listers - repeat after me - these are the A-listers...)
The stamp purchase (OK - you have to buy the package - they sell in packs of 20...)
But he did it!
