At my church I'm required to give her $200 (even if I didn't have her playing)...I need to tip her in addition to that???

Re: Spinoff to Tipping.....Church Question
I dunno what proper 'etiquette' is...but I do not plan on giving her a dime more than I am forced to.

I agree. I am still so upset that our 'donation' is $600 and on top of that we have to give $400 Cash the day of, to assure that we will be there on time. If the wedding start more than 15 minutes late, we lose the $400.

Really..are they going to chase you out with a broom if you don't tip them? Who does the tipping that day anyway? I'm not carrying money and I don't think FH is, nor are we going to be worrying about giving out tips, so who goes around tipping these people.

Re: Spinoff to Tipping.....Church Question
We had to pay $200.00 for an organist and singer and that's all they're getting- plus we have to pay $400.00 for the church and $200.00 for pre-cana!!

That's insane!!! I mean maybe $100 I could see, but $400?!
I wasn't really planning on tipping the organist since we also have to pay a retainer whether we use them or not.

My DOC is giving out all the tips, but if you aren't using one I'd say someone's dad should do it.
