Being that FH and I live in FL and its usually rare for us to both me in NY together....do you think a bakery would consider meeting with us to discuss the cake like 6 months before the wedding during a trip up there while we are both together?
How many months prior is this usally done? I thought it was about 4??

I'm sure if you explain the circumstances, they'd do it. It'd be stupid of them not to - that's a lot of $$$ that they'd miss out of if they simply did not want to meet before the 4-month mark, you know?

I think this is a situation where if you just talk to them, they will def accommodate you!

I am in the same situation and am hoping that we can meet with the baker 5 months before the wedding to plan. I can't understand why they would say no.
