SPINOFF to worst date.....BEST worst date...
This is the BEST time you've had on a date that got messed up....
FH and I were starving and all excited to go out to dinner together and have a 'date' long ago when he was still in law school....he lived in this apt. community with 2 entrances...well, it was around move in/out time for med students so a new kid had moved in from FL earlier that day via one of those gigantic moving trucks (not a uhaul....bigger)...
anyway, you know how the trucks are attached to the trailer at some point?? well this broke as the truck was leaving and he was TOTALLY blocking the 2 lanes to go West toward town. you couldn't get out the other entrance either b/c it was just back about a block on the same road and you could only make a RIGHT turn (due to a cement median) so we could not go to dinner.
We were bummed, starving and we couldn't go anywhere really as this truck was in the way...so finally in desperation, we walked across the street to a Wendy's, had the whole place to ourselves (since no one could drive there) and to this day, it's my favorite dinner with FH...we always joke about the day he reserved an entire restaurant for us.![]()
