SPINOFF: what do YOU do that drives your FH nuts?

so as a spinoff from RussoBride's thread.. what do YOU do that drives FH nuts?

I......

*wipe my dirty face & hands on his clean towel ALL the time

*that i leave the water in the tub while i'm showering ( hair clumps the drain, but i never undo it....i'll have like 6 inches of water in there)

*that i wear my socks for too long (i forget to change tehm once in awhile)

*that i order Cosmopolitans then cant drink them cuz theyre too strong (this one happened tonight)

*that i'm HORRIBLE at washing dishes... he ALWAYS hads to re-do them.... he thinks i just rinse them.. i dont know, i just $uck at it!

He hates it when I turn up the music really loud in the car.

He hates it when I play the same songs over and over.

I always leave the lights on and TV when I go to another room. He's like, 'when you leave a room turn off the lights'. All I can say is when I lived at home before I did whatever I wanted.

Biggest is I smoke and he hates it, but I promised to quit before we have kids, and I will...

That I forget to charge my cell phone ( he reminds me ten times a day)

That I use ( as he says) ten spoons a day, he wants to label one and I should use, it, wash it and use it again.. ( BUT I DO THE DISHES SO WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE )

This one's tough because he doesn't let a lot of things bother him.

I never leave my cell phone on.

I have a pile/mountain of bridal stuff by the computer in the basement that he's asked me to clean up.


I was by myself for a long time so I try to be a considerate roommate.

We both were in rough relationships before with people that had serious issues so we don't let the little things bother us. We just pout it into perspective. It's only dishes, or whatever.

I can get really cranky if i don't eat regularly.... very cranky.
I also want everything done yesterday. I am impatient... he is SLOW!

Hmm....

I leave my hair straightner plugged in all the time.

I always leave lights on! (He freaks about that )

I only do laundry twice a week. (He wishes I was his mom who did his laundry everyday...sorry mister but I work a full time job unlike your mother)!

Im sure there is loads more, I just cant think of any right now.

Side note, I hate being compared to my fmil by him!

Great Question -

He hates it when i change the garbage can and put trash out back but i always forget to put in a fresh bag..

He also hates when I dont crush boxes b4 putting them in trash b/c it takes up so much room..blahh..blahh...lol


what else - oh i always lose remoste control.. we are down to one..and we have to share between LR and BR - Whoops!

But the things he does drives me more nuts! Hes a SLOB!

Ugh, lost my post.

I usually want to go to some really odd vacation place, like Brazil or Norway while he likes the safer things like resorts. Leads to a lot of heated discussions.

I can be overzealous about our cats, a sneeze means a trip to the vet.

I over-research everything. We went on a 4 day trip to Miami, and I had 6 travel books.

I talk ALOT....I can't stop talking.

I wear sexy things, but he doesn't NOT like that per se, he just doesn't like the attention I end up getting from ppl other than him :)

When I'm annoyed on the phone I say 'Ok byeeeeee' really annoyingly to him, and I know he hates it so I do it to annoy him even more

I shop wayyyy too much

I kiss my dog on the lips..HE HATES THAT......
I'm not gross or anything, but she like to lick my lips to kiss me so I let her...he thinks it's a bit gross..so do most ppl actually

Ooh I almost forgot, I'm really anal and have to be on time and plan things out for everything, he's more laid back, and can't stand my analness

Being that I'm first born, I tend to be stubborn and very independent and don't really like to listen to his opinions

It's a bad thing on my part.

ETA: too much shopping, and say 'Fine' everytime I'm upset.

1. Apaarently I 'nag him' - Who knew that asking someone to help me out or do something for us/our home is nagging?!

2. When I wash my face I get water all over the place.

3. Every morning I recount how horrible it was to sleep next to him He has sleep apnea and keeps me up about 1/3 of the night.

I write out 'dollars' on my checks even though it says dollars at the end. I have no idea why but this drives him out of his mind.

I abide by every and all rules and basically am sort of uptight about things. He, on the other hand, it totally the opposite so this annoys him sometimes.

I'm sure he'd have a laundry list for you, I just can't think of the others right now.

i am actually asking him right now:

'it mostly involves... 'flitting' around the house when we need to be somewhere... anytime we have a deadline or a place we need to be, you suddenly remember something 'incredibly important' that of course needs to be done first.'

I am not the most positive person... I have had a lot of hard things to deal with since we have been together. Bad luck follows me like a black cloud-- I also get very stressed out and my way of dealing-- is talking about it..

Essentially- I complain a lot and am just overall negative.. But, when things start going my way-- it's like I am a different person. he is more go with the flow, so he cannot even comprehend what is going on inside my head.

1. I rarely clean out the shower drain - leave that for his turn.

2. When I get home from work I leave my stuff all over the place - now in my defense I do go back and put it all away but not fast enough for him.

hhhmmm... i think there is too many to list!

1. Leave the door open to the backyard of our apartment - allowing anyone to enter at will.

2. Argue w/out any basis - no data to back up my argument....

3. My constant need for attention

4. Constantly makinging him feel bad that he has to work weekends and I have to go out without him!

I don't know if it drives him NUTS, but I know it definitely rubs him the wrong way.

Gotta agree on the cranky part...he definitely knows when to immediatley Feed Me b/c theres just no patience w/ me when Im hungry.....
