we are getting married in november and we agreed to have our bachelorette and bachelor parties on the same night. i want to do it in sept. FH thinks its too long before the wedding

mine was almost exactly one month before the wedding. DH's was the week after mine so his was 3 weeks before the wedding.
We both went away for our b-parties so we broke them up so someone would be home to take care of the pooch.

I've been to b-parties 2 months or 2 days before the wedding. Whatever works for you!
I did my sister's the weekend before the wedding and i think it was a good break for her----she was really stressed out----but she already had everything finalized for the wedding so there was really nothing more for her to do...

We did our away bachelor/bachelorette parties 3 weeks before the wedding (we both went to Vegas, but separately).
Since only 2 girls were able to go to Vegas with me, my girls threw a NY bachelorette party for me 2 weeks before the wedding.

some people do it over a month before, some people do it only a few weeks before.
i am having mine the weekend before the wedding, but i'm only waiting that long b/c my BFF will be in from san fran that week through our wedding so i want to make sure she can go.

Im doing it about 2-3 weeks before and fh is doing it about 5 weeks before the wedding.
but many do it a month or two before the wedding

I've told my MOH that I'd like it to be sometime around Columbus Day (Oct) since my wedding is in November. Since we're not planning anything involving travel, we've got plenty of time to plan this...we'll probably plan more over the summer.

We're doing it the last weekend in June, so it makes almost 2 months, but that's because my bridal party is all scattered and it's the only weekend EVERYONE can be together.

Mine is going to be 2 days before the wedding. I have family coming in from Florida that want to join us and asking them to fly back and forth is unfair.
We are going to a b'way show and to dinner.
FH's brother is planning his bachelor party so I'm not sure when it's going to be. But, it probably won't be the same day because they both work nights during the week

My wedding is March 30, I'm shooting for March 1st or 8th b/c the next 2 weekends after that are Palm Sunday and Easter.
