LOL! ok, DH and i have been together for almost 10 years and when we started dating it was back in the day when pagers were around and not cell phones. so he beeped me 143-143-143-50 (50 was his 'code') which we all know means I love you. i was so surprised and scared to call him back! he said he was scared to say it outloud out of fear that i may not feel the same way! he's soooo cute!!! still gives me butterflies in my stomach when i think about it!

He did! But I totally was writing in my diary how I loved him but didn't say it until he did.

Same here - although it was sort of our 1st date going into our 2nd date...

There was no thread yet about where that 1st kiss went afterwards....

I said I love you first, and told him he didn't have to say it until he was ready. About a week and a half later he said it when he was hammered, but the next morning made sure to tell me that it wasn't just because he was drunk it was really how he felt.

he did...sort of. It was valentine's day and he wrote it in a card. I then said it back to him. He said he was too nervous to just say it, so he had to write it. I thought it was sweet

He did!!! And it was the sweetest thing ever :) he was so nervous & it took him a good couple of minutes to get it out(& of course I knew what he was trying to say)..... I of course kissed him & said it back :)

He did....he got me tickets to see Beauty and the Beast in the city for our first Christmas, so the night we went we were walking back to Penn Station and he looks me in the eye and told me.

He said it first - I cried and managed to say 'I love you, too' in the between the tears.

He said it first after our first little argument. I thought he was just trying to butter me up so I didn't know what to say to I just started at him for about 30 seconds. He grabbed my hand and said, you don't have to say it back, just don't say, 'Thanks.' i said it back immediately. I was dressed up as SuperGirl on the way to a Halloween party.

I said it first only because he had been beating around the bush to say it... It kinda went like

Him: you know I really care about you. I can really see myslef being with you the rest of my life. blah blah blah...

Me: I have known that I wanted to be with you since I met you. Thats why I fell in love with you...

Then he said it finally... It was like pulling teeth!!!
