SPINOFF - would you like your company to have a fitness center???

If so, I would love information...where you are located, company name, how many employees are in building, etc.

FM if you'd like!

I am asking because the company I work for is a managment company that is responsible for the designing, equipment purchasing, and staffing of the center. Some companies pay for the membership for employees, but most the cost is around $10-$40 per month.

So I am looking to see if there are companies that are out there who might be interested in having one.

heh

I work in a 44 story building.
20 of which belong to my company.

I've lost count the number of employees we have. I know between this building, the one across the street and the one up the block we are rumored to have 20,000 or some such silly number. I think someone got that wrong. My department which doesnt fill a floor is around 200 people. My guess is we're close to about 5,000 employees.

No Gym. We have a nurse and health clinic area. We also have a floor dedicate to cafeteria and travel (with a post office machine) with cots & showers in the nurses office.

We are two blocks south of NYSC and they are charging (I hear) $80 a month corporate rate, which I find insane.

I just wanted to add that I used to work for a company that has a HUGE fitness center - with free weights, nautilus machines, stairmasters, treadmills, ABdominizer-type things, mats, a huge aerobics room for classes (Step, Yoga, Resistance training), raquetball - and then outside was tennis courts, basketball courts, a track....I LOVED having all of that available for use whenever I wanted it. During the time I worked there, I was in the best shape of my life!

We have a huge fitness center at work. They have every piece of equipment imaginalbe as well as all sorts of classes.....step, cycling, kick boxing. Our price goes by what your salary is. Its a great resource for the employees.

I would LOVE IT. All they do is offer a 'discount' to NY Sports...but it STINKS! It's still so expensive! And, they occasionally host fitness classes in a building down the block, but they are short term only.

I would love it - it would strip away my last excuse for not going to the gym. But there is no way on earth my company would allow or sponsor anything like that. We only have that insurance rebate available to us through Oxford if you meet their requirements.
