I had some rough experiences because I was a very sensitive and shy kid, aka an 'easy target'. I think I still am, only I have learned to laugh it off or deal with it as an adult.
But I will never forget some of the things I went through:
one girl who was my 'best friend' in 5th grade, was my worst enemy in 6th!! I don't want to go into too much detail, but here are some things she did. -go to the water fountain and get a cup of water and toss it in my face in class (we had a substitute who could care less); -sit in the cafeteria (we had the same seats every day and teachers wouldn't let us change) with her cohorts, chew food, and spit chewed food into my face - every day; -verbal torture along with making fun of physical things, tol deveryone I had aids when aids just came out and not much was known about it; - i could go on and on but you get the point!
I saw her years later on the bus and yes I wanted to punch her, lol, but I just walked past and stared at her and she looked totally ashamed.
I hate bullies!!!
ETA: I really feel like these bullying experiences shaped who I am today and not all in a positive way. It kills me to see kids being bullied.

Re: Spinoff...sort of...BULLIES
Well, when I was in 3rd grade, my cousin who is the same age as me, moved into the neighborhood and wound up in the same school. Things were great until 5th grade. She fell into the snobby crowd and chimed right in when they would pick on me and make fun of my clothes (even if I were wearing the same thing as one of them). I would be in tears. I had told my mom what was going on and she just said to blow it off because if they saw it was bothering me, they'd do it more but that didn't work. To make matters worse, I had to see her at family gatherings and she'd be the nicest person to me and make me look like a liar LOL, but when we got back to school, she'd go right back to being a bully. I look back at it now and laugh!

in 3rd grade, everyone in my class made fun of one boy. i felt sooo bad for him. i feel terrible even now, and i wasn't one of the people who did it. i want to find him and apologize for it. i mean, this kid had NO friends. i wasn't brave enough to be his friend, but i still felt bad. i went back to my senior year book, and he graduated w/us, so i'm hoping he'd be at the 10 yr reunion next year. doubt it though, because i don't think he had many friends. but before i die, i will find him and say 'i'm sorry for what they did to you and i'm sorry i didn't stick up for you'

In high school i was stalked by this girl... she came into where i worked and siad 'my friend says your a B*TCH' i said- 'well F*** her!!' she proceeded to throw a pound cake at my head (She missed, but i didn't see it coming, i had walked away) she kept showing up at my job, followed me going home.. threatened to kill me, and jump over the counter and kick my a$$... i ended up carrying salt and a nail file with me everywhere LOL then she proceeded to hit me in my back as she was passing in the hall... i figured let me to go the dean so if i have to fight back, she'll get in trouble. then a few parent conferences were put together... she said the reason she was stalking me is cuz i said 'well F*** YOU!' so i said 'no i said F*** HER!' my mom said 'well that seems reasonable'
long story short (too late for that... but its even longer) i got a restraining order, and if she bothered me before the court date she had to appear... but she left me alone after that. i saw her a few years later and she apologized and said she was really messed up then. (Boy was she, she was sent away after that incident)

When I was in I think it was 3rd grade, there was this snotty little rich girl who was on my bus. She was always making fun of me and getting the other kids on the bus to do the same. Well, one day we had a show and tell in school. The weekend before I had won first place in a baton twirling competition. So I brought my big trophy in for show and tell. Well, on the bus that day she started making fun of me again, so when I was getting off the bus, as she was mocking me, I slammed her over the head with the trophy. I felt so much better after that and she never bothered me again. I guess it true what they say, some people just need a smack on the head to set them straight. The only thing that I regret about that was using my trophy to hit her, because it broke!!
I hate bullies and I make sure I have none in my classroom and If I find a kid is bullying someone else, I nip it in the bud right away!!

Ugh...yeah, I was the butt of way too many jokes in my younger days. In sixth grade at lunch one day this new kid who was quite cute asked me to be his girlfriend. The whole class was watching. I was like huh? Um...Ok?! I should have known something was up, since we had the undivided attention of like 30 kids...anyway, he says 'HA!!! Just kidding, who would want to go out with a pig like you?' Even my 'friends' laughed. Looking back at pictures of me then, I wasn't even fat, i mean, I wasn't a super model, but I wasn't obese. Oh well.

Re: Spinoff...sort of...BULLIES
I was 1 of 2 black female students in a very large school district. I'm also half caucasian.. use your imagination, it was torture for me. It started in 4th grade and I moved and it continued until 8th when I moved again, to a very difersified area and my background did not matter. I was beaten up by boys in middle school. My father found out that one of them spit on me and called me racial slurs. He went to the kids bus stop with me and leered at the boy and his mother. After we got on the bus the boy did not talk to me but I saw my dad talk to his mother. I dont know what was said but he transferred schools the following week. I made only one friend during all those years of hell and we still keep in touch. She's an amazing person. Once high school started, I never had any issues like that again. The crew I ran with encompassed all different people and none of them would tolerate bullies.

When i was in Elementary school i was teased cause my long hair was usually in pigtails and usually in braids.. Well I remember one day two of the 'most popular' little boys came up to me and each pulled a pig tail.... I was sooooo pi$$ed so i ran after them and kicked them U-know-where.. let me tell you till 8th grade when I moved those two boys became like bodyguards for me!!! LOL
