Do you think that you've become more or less spiritual with age? Until very recently, I would attend church and pray, but it was all very mechanical--just for the sake of doing it. But now, I find more meaning and sincerity in my prayers, I think about God more often, and I always remind myself to try to be a better person. Anyone else?

Re: Spiritual/Religion Question
I've become less religious and more spiritual.
Religion is dogma written by man on earth... every organized religion has a set of rules of which you are not suppose to deviate otherwise you are not that religion. Most people say they are religion X but then they quickly say but we don't follow such and such practice or I don't believe such and such really happened back then... well, then you are not of that religion.
Every religion on earth is in and of itself exclusive of the beliefs of others (officially)... the last pope was the first one EVER to even step foot in a synagogue. Yet, all religions have the same basic core of beliefs... respect others, honor elders, do good deeds etc... for example the development of Catholicism from Judaism, Protestantism from Catholicism, the break of the orthodox churches of Russia, Greece, etc. from Catholicsm.
For all of the above reason I find my self more spiritual and respectful of the commonality of all faith centered beliefs.

Re: Spiritual/Religion Question
Growing up I was not really spiritual or religious. But as I got older I found myself looking for some religious beliefs or sense of spirituality.

Re: Spiritual/Religion Question
I'm sort of against organized religion. As I have gotten older I have become more aware of our role on Earth and conscious of my mortality and short existence. I have always been spiritual, even as a child, but I haven't 'practiced' as much as I would like to...definitely would like to become a lot more spiritual.
