All opinions welcome! I'm stil trying to figure out which florist to go with. My RH only allows these two, so let me know what quotes you got and what kind of flowers you got with it.
I'm wondering if I was overquoted last weekend? BOOHOO. My jaw nearly dropped on the floor with what they came back to me with!

Please see my review on Stefans. I did not have to best experience with them. I did not meet with S&P. My flowers were fine (not great - just fine) and they were not the easiest people to deal with. I spent what I believe to be a lot of money on my flowers and was not happy with my choice of florists. Good luck!

I'm wondering what 15-20 CP's, 3 bouqs, 6 boots and perhaps a big arrangement in the foyer and some flowers around the arch will get me?
S&P quoted me $8.5K although they did have extras but it seemed REALLY high, even with high CP's!

Because you are restricted to those two florists, I would go w/the one that gives you the better bang for your buck.
They are both known to be higher than other florists, but you should meet with both, go over ideas/needs, and take it from there.
I worked with Stefans this weekend at The Royalton and their work/quality was fantastic.

I'm getting married at the Royalton in a few weeks and we're using Stefans. We liked the person we met with there better - even after meeting with two different people at Spitz & Peck (one just didn't get me and the other was totally arrogant and unfriendly).
Personally, I would have liked to see others. I still don't feel like we're getting the best we can get for our money. None of the people we met with at either place seems to be very knowledgeable about flowers. They seem to have a few ways of doing bridal flowers and don't seem comfortable working outside that box. Same ole, same ole. My suggestion to you is to bring them a picture that is as close as you can find to what you want and when you get a sample, don't hold back if it's not what you want. Tell them what's wrong and don't settle until it's how you want it to look.

wow... that's essentially what I had - plus a bunch of extras (corsages for moms, etc) for about 3500 - I had low centerpieces, but they were a bit complicated (tablescape w/ multiple vases).
that sounds ridiculously high to me!

I had 15 low CPs, two large church arrangements, 1 bride bo-k, 1 MOH bo-k, 6 BM bo-ks, 10 bouts, rose petals for tossing (that they put into my petal cones for me), flowers for the cake table, and votives / petals for the sweetheart table for just I think $2,200....
