Spotting

Spotting

Ladies I'm spotting and I'm freaking out. I'm just shy of 9 weeks.

I don't have a doc to call because of our insurance. I have to wait till 12 weeks to see a military OBGYN and the doc I saw who did my ultrasound a few weeks ago my insurance wont let me go back too...

Should I go to the ER? To hopefully set my mind at ease.

I'm home by myself because Dh is gone for a bit.

Absolutely!! Go - don't wait. Even if you have to pay out of pocket, if there's a problem your health/the baby's health is all that matters!!

Prayers out to you!!

I hope you've gone to the doc!!!!

Was it brown or red? Heavy or lite? Its probably nothing but I am hoping that all is well!!

I would go to the ER. It might be nothing but it's better to have it checked out.

Re: Spotting

Thanks everyone. I ended up calling OB and they were gone for the day so I then called L&D at the hospital they really didn't appreciate my call but told me I should go to the ER
I then started crying because DH is gone and luckily I called a good friend who is about 6 weeks and she drove me to the ER.

When we got there I was doing alright they kept trying to warn me that maybe it was etopic but I had the former ultrasound to show them it wasen't. Then then set me up for a ultrasound but the PA who preformed it didn't know what he was doing and had it on AB ultrasound rather then OB and he couldn't find anything for about 15minutes. That absoultely scared the crap out of me since only a few weeks prior we could see the baby and heartbeat and I heard it. He told me maybe it was because it wasen't vaginal and that he had to get the Doc. So again I am know totally losing it and the Doc comes back in and figures out that the setting was wrong. He told me they couldn't do it vaginally because everything was locked up in OB for the night but that he would try again. He then found the baby and a heartbeat but he couldn't pick up on it sound wise and the dopplar wasen't working. They tried to count it themseleves but it was hard since the view wasen't the greatest. I guess the Er doesn't have the best ultrasound machine. Well that made me feel a ton better.
They decided that they wanted to do a exam because they wanted to see if I was dialted. They did and by the way they had 6 people in the room I felt like I was on show and was just emotionally exhausted by this point and afraid of what they were going to say. They told me I wasen't and that the bleeding seemed to stop and it was mostly dried.
They then sent me home with a doctor's note that I must be on bedrest for the next week. I was also gently threatened by the nurse to actually do it because it she told me once the baby is born I will never be able to stay in bed for a week again:)

So, so far so good. I am just going to be laid up for a little bit and hopefully I won't loose my job over it, but even if I do I know I want a healthy baby so it really isn't a hard desicion.

DH landed while I was there and got back at the house as I was on my way home with my friend and when we got back we just watched the game and he informed me I will be on bed rest.

So thanks everyone for thinking of me.

$$ wasen't really the issue. I just needed to work out my referral problem. Which luckily I did right before I wrote my first post. I guess I was just worried about having to go by myself and the fact that I didn't know where this other base's hospital was. Needless to say my referral was changed to the hospital that I went to the ER at and they were all very good too me. So I am so relieved about that as well. I really think worrying about my OB care was part of this problem.

Thanks!
