Spray on tan question...

Spray on tan question...

I was thinking about trying the Neutrogena sunless tan spray. Some of you mentioned you had tried it before--how long does it last before washing off? Have you had good experiences? I am pretty pale (ok, very pale) and am worried about turning orange...Thanks!

I am VERY pale..and I use the neutrogena lotion, in light, Ive used medium too..doesnt look orange at all. I use the neutorgena bronzer for my face. Places to watch for streaks is knees, elbows and ankles!

Thanks! So you don't use the tanner on your face? How long does the color last?

I am really pale and don'y yan naturally. I use the Clarins, but I have used the Neutogena as well. I don't like the spray though, I use the lotion. Make sure you shower, exfoliate, and shave before you put it on! I put it all over my body, including my face! Don't forget to wash your hands and pay special attention to in between your fingers and nails! AT the end I put some tanner on a cotton puff and lightly wipe it on the top of my feet and hands. MAke sure you rub it in real good, especially around your ankles, wrists, elbows and knees. I think that is all my advice. Good Luck!

I've used the Neutrogena foam, I love it, but you do have to exfoliate first!! You can use it on your face or they do sell a separate bronzer. I've used it on face and it was fine for me.

Thanks everyone! I bought the new Neutrogena Build a Tan foam. It 'lets you control your shade to get the tan that's right for you by delivering just a hint of color with each application.' (that from the back of the bottle ). I'll let you all know if it is any good!

I think the foam is better as I've gotten the spray on towels, undies, etc when using.

Good luck!

ps: I would use a tanner specifically for the face as the skin on the face is more sensitive than on the rest of the body.

Also make sure you do under your arms and behind ears and back of neck to make it look real

I tried the loreal sublime and it was streaking on my arms, but I decided to try it on my face...It looks great! Very natural , not a hint of streaking, I just rubbed, and rubbed so it blended well..I got a million compliments on it at work...SO I think that you can use most of teh self tanners on the face and get good results, I havent found one yet that I really like for the body...

the bronzer is a self tanner, but its for the face only ( neutrogena)

Re: Spray on tan question...

OK, as an update I tried the foam last night for anyone who is thinking of it. I don't know why but it did turn out streaky. The color is natural, though for some reason my big toe is bright orange. I scrubbed at it this morning with rubbing alcohol though and it looks better...All in all I would do it again, but be more careful about the application (it is so hard to tell where it has been applied more heavily than other areas...).
