Anyone ever try this? I am attempting it for the first time on Saturday for my b-pics next week and I am so nervous I am going to come out orange! Any advice?

Re: Spray tan
oh god......
I did spray tanning for FH coast guard graduation ceremony thing (you know, wanted to look all nice and tan and make the other military boys jealous LOL).....welllllllllll it looked good the NEXT day, but you can't shower for 18 hours and when you do shower, you can scrub with a loofah or anything because you will start taking the tan off. Its really hard to maintain and the only time I would suggest it is if you want it for that next day, thats it. If you are looking to get it done 2-3 days before the day you need it, it will look blotchy (atleast I did)....I always use a loofah so I guess it was taking half of my tan off at the same time.
It kind of looked like dirty marks, u know the ones if you don't scrub your skin? it was like that on my ankles, knees, elbows, etc......
needless to say my personal experience wasn't that great with it, I only looked good for that next day that I needed to!

Re: Spray tan
i have done it and liked it but highly recommend doing Airbrush instead. The person will mix a color for you rather than the one standard color you can get with a spray tan. Airbrush also leaves less chance of streakiness and having it look dirty on your hands/feet (which can happen with a spray tan if you don't load up on the barrier lotion they give you)

Re: Spray tan
I do spray tans a lot. I would get it done at a Beach Bum Tanning place. They are the only one's I've found that have different levels of darkness. So it will look more natural. If you're naturally pale choose the lightest and you will just look like sun kissed not DARK.
I always think they look the best the second day after having it done. It can get blotchy in dry skin areas and for me that usually evens out by the second day.
I actually just did an at home one last night. It is Coppertone 'build a tan' (I think) it is the first time I've used this one and I am really happy with it today. It is natural looking and went on very evenly.
Haroula is right. If you use a loofa it will come off earlier. Or even an exfoliant soap. I use a washcloth and dove soap when I have a tan to avoid that. You should exfoliate and shave before doing it though. It will last longer.

Re: Spray tan
My mom did this last year for my cousin's wedding . . . She went to beach bum, got the one where you stand there and a person sprays you. It looked ehhh, ok but def a little orangy and not natural. I use self tanner lotions at home on occasion and find that if I use the light one (i'm very fair) it gives me a hint of color so I'm not so blindingly white. If I try to go any darker for an actual 'tan' look, it looks really fake. I haven't had any really positive experiences with fake tanning. I think it works a little better on people with olive skin tones. I'd definitely try it out before the actual day you want to use it to see how it works with your skin tone.

Re: Spray tan
Thanks girls for all the advice! The appointment that I made was with the person who sprays you, not the machine but now I am really nervous to even go. I think I will just go and buy a selft tanning cream and use that!

its only this one girl Rachel. the owner is Linda who answers the phone most of the time though. Rachel is really cool. she always says all the time, 'girl ive seen it all, believe me so dont be embarassed about anything'. (im always still embarassed but she's really cool). you could go with as little or as much clothing as you'd like.
and the price cant be beat compared to places in the city, etc. full body is $50 and waist and up only is $40 and then i give her a tip, usually 20%
