spray tan or tanning beds?

spray tan or tanning beds?

Ok so I need some advice again. I have very pale skin and I usually burn. It takes a long time before I actually get somewhat tan and its hardly ever even. Has anyone tried the spray tanning? Have you looked tan with it or orange?

I have tried the spray tanning and I loved it! Granted I do not have very pale skin, but I thought it looked great. I know a friend who has very pale skin who did it for a wedding she was in and she looked great too! I would at least give it a try.. just know that once it starts to wear off it can look a little 'snake like' on your legs. So if you're doing it for an event I would do it pretty close to the day!

HTH!

Thanks. How long does it last? Does it wash off? Where did you go to get it done and how much was it? I get nervous with some of these tanning salons.

The last time I did it I went to European Image in Franklin Square. It is a stand up box and you have to rotate your body to evenly get all sides, but the directions are there and its truly easy. I don't remember the pricing on it but it lasted about a week on me. I am sure that time is different for certain people dependent on your skin, but eventually it just washes off/fades like a normal tan. HTH!

definitely recommend the spray tanning. i go to spa190 in mineola - they're wonderful. they do it by hand, so its more accurate than a machine.
they have light, med, dark - i did med first and didnt love it - but i liked the light better (surprisingly). it looked more even with my skin tone.

I didn't go to the beach last summer at all or tan outside since I was doing laser hair removal under my arms and afraid to mess it up lol. so I started going tanning recently to get some color. I use tanning beds though. I always use lotion though which is supposed to help. I know it's bad for you but I just can't imagine getting a spray tan all the time to keep it.

my bff has gone with me and she's pale, Irish and always burns. so far she hasn't burned using a bronzer lotion when tanning.

I definitely lean more towards regular tanning. I have pretty pale irish skin and reg tanning always works. I would go 2 times a week for a month before the wedding. DO NOT go every day

I've had spray tanning before and althouh I like it, it always makes my face break out! Granted, I dont have the best skin, but regular tanning always clears my skin up!

I also prefer the beds! Buy a nice lotion and start out going 2-3 times a week for small amounts of time.

I've never had a pray tan, but my sister got one, worked out the next day and had lines from her sports bra.

I have gotten airbrush tanning at Red Hots in Roslyn tons of times and never had a problem. A technition sprays you by hand with a color custom matched to you so you get a nice even coat. I highly recommend them. Personally I decided for the wedding to do tanning beds just in case so it doesnt run on the white dress and so I have a good base for the honeymoon.

I love spray tanning. It's a special treat, and whenever I get it, my clothes and makeup look so much better. I love it. I am very pale and the light or medium works great.
