so i just stopped into Hollywood Tan before and inquired and the girl actually told me NOT to do it b/c it rubs off and it could get all over my wedding dress. She then told me to check out Beach Bum Tanning.

Re: Spray Tanning?
My friend did spray tanning before we went for a weekend in the poconos. It was hilarious because it came off the first night in the hot tub!
I would try it and wear white for a day running around doing errands. couldnt hurt

Re: Spray Tanning?
I've done the spray tanning before and it does come off onto white clothing....I would be very careful. I would highly recommend trying it before the big day and see how you like it. It also has a strange smell to it...not bad but distinct.

Stay away from tanning beds!!
I really liked the avon spray tan that I used last summer. Didn't find it rubbed off and it was a gradual thing.

Re: Spray Tanning?
I used to get spray tan all the time at Beach Bum. Did it before my mom's wedding and it looked so natural. I loved it! However, it really depends on who you go to. You need the right person to apply it correctly or else it won't look natural at all. I never had an issue with it coming off on my clothing, white or any other color. It only comes off that night before you shower because the spray has a bronzer in it, but the next morning it will all come off in the shower. The only thing that is making me lean against it for the wedding is that in 4 days it starts to come off on the inside of your arms where they bend. That's the only spot that blotches on me, but I don't want it to happen on my honeymoon. I'm considering tanning for 2 months prior to the wedding, but I'm terrified because I was seriously addicted to it a few years ago and had some spots removed that were pre-cancerous. Ugh, sorry so long!!!

Re: Spray Tanning?
There may be some confusing between the spray tan (machine) and air brush tanning (a person does this for you)
I've done both, the spray tan was horrible. But I've done the air brush tons of times and I absolutely love it!!! It is not streaky, blotchy or unnatural looking at all. You can get the 'moisture lock' for a few dollars more which extends the life of the tan. I would do it two days before the wedding so the color is settled.
I go to Beach Bum in East Meadow - Jaclyn is the best
FM me with any more questions

Re: Spray Tanning?
Yes, I definitely recommend the airbrush tan! I had it done at the Beach Bum in East Meadow (don't remember who did it) also before a wedding last year and it came out great! I got it done 3 days before the wedding in case I didn't like the way it looked, but I loved it and it lasted. It gave me a nice sun kissed glow. I would definitely recommend it!
