Spray tanning locations

Can you recommend a good spray tanning place on LI. I usually just bake in the sun for hours on end but this weather is not making that possible!

I also need tips on what to do before and after. I am a spray tan virgin

ive gone there too, in huntington.

funny story... my friends an i all went years ago for our senior prom. one of my friends thought i would be a good idea to go get her eyebrows waxed the same day as spray tan.. needless to say, she had a white circle in the middle of her eyebrows!!! she called up my mother frantically, nothing a little self tanner couldnt fix, but it was pretty hilarious!!!!!!

on a serious note:
dont wear light colored clothes there, it will rub off on your clothes and on your towel after you shower. (just one time deal kinda thing)
make sure you put the lotion they give you on your knuckles, elbows, etc. the spray comes up darker in those places if you dont.

they showed my friends and i a video, we thought it was dumb but at least we werent orange on our elbows, etc!!

the first time i went was before my sisters wedding....they didnt tell me to use the lotion! My hands and feet were so orange. I had to go by self-tanning remover to try and scrub it off but it wasnt realyl working...i was so embarrassed!

Thank you for the advice on the lotion! I probably would decide I am 'too cool' for the lotion and end up looking ridiculous!

How long after do you have to wait to shower?

And is it a person who sprays or a machine?

And one last question -- this might be a weird one. -- do you wear underware?

i dont remember how long you have to wait to shower.

it was a machine. like a stand up tanning bed and the lotion squirted out. they tell you put your arms a certain way (all in the video) and no undies. otherwise your undies would be sprayed.

I've used the spary tan machine before and it did not come out good at all

I recently did the airbrush (a person sprays you) and it came out unbelievable!! Sooooo nice and natural looking. I went to Beach Bum in East Meadow. It's pricey so you couldn't go every week but for special occasions its worth it

I was told to shave, not put any lotion on all day and wait 12 hours until you shower

Beach bum in oceanside is really good! I went there a couple of times for spray tan. And they normally have a promotion by one get one free for new clients. Try going on their website there might be a coupon there.
