Spring Honeymoons

Maybe I'm crazy - I usually only go away in the winter - usually to warm sunny places to get away from the NY freeze - where are people going who are getting married in the spring or summer? I was thinking of waiting until the following fall to go on the honeymoon even though it's a few months after - but I just can't see spending the money to go to the tropics when it's 'tropical' up here, but on the other hand I really want us to do something special out of town...

What are other's doing?

I always go away in the summer time. Usually on a cruise and usually to the caribeean. We go skiing alot of times in the winter.
We are going to Hawaii for our HM. It might be warm in the summer here, but nothing beats a vacation away from work.

Well said, I am considering Hawaii for my Honeymoon, its beautiful and away from work

Yeah, I've been to Hawaii, not that it would be horrible to go again. FH wanted to see if Bermuda may be nice (less plane time, more vaca time), but I hear that's best in the fall? Maybe a cruise to Alaska? Definitely just kidding.

An Alaskan cruise is phenomenal!! I went a few summers ago, and had the best time.

Fh and I want something out of the US and non-typical. We can visit the Caribean and Puerto Rico anytime and less days needed. If we can go after the wedding we're looking at Turkey, Morocco, South Africa....

I heard that the Alaska cruise is AMAZING and will do that myself one day. It's time to do something that you may not have the money/time for later. If we have to put the HM off until the summer we may do a skiing thing somewhere where it's winter on the other side of the globe!! We'd be putting it off due to vaca time issues tho- otherwise I'd rec taking it right after the wedding.

My FBIL didn't take his HM right away and never really will now, his wife got pregnant a few months after they were married! A lot can happen- but consider your budget too!

Mexico. I usually wait to the colder days start to come when I go on vacation so, I could understand. Have you considered moving your date. September and October still have beautiful weather you have beautiful fall colors to chose from and you can enjoy your tropical vacation because as beautiful as Sept and Oct are it won't be 80 degrees.
