Just curious, is there a reason to choose one over the other? Is one more traditional shape for a wedding cake than the other?

I think it is personal preference. I like the square ones better myself, but at our RH it is more expensive so we will opt for the round.

My wedding was amixofnewand old traditions. The round cake is traditional, so I did the top 3 layers roundand the bottomlayer square, loved it!

I would think round is traditional....but whatever you like better is what you should do....some places around here do charge more for a square though...

i love the look of square wedding cakes. i think alternating square and round layers is also really cute!

i think its personal preference. some cakes look better round, and some better square. i think it all depends on what you like.
