St. Anne's Church in Garden City

Does anyone know how much it costs to get married at St. Anne's? I am getting married there in April and I forgot to ask the fee! When I called and asked the receptionist she said she thought it was about $1000 (including the church fee, flowers, and music), but she wasn't sure. Does anyone know for sure what the cost is and what it includes? TIA!

I odn't know the particular cost, but a typical donation to the church will include:

-the organist and cantor (even if you don't use them as they make so little as it is, having outside musicians takes away from their income at the church if that makes sense)
-Pre-Cana (if not, it may be something small like $50.00) Pre-Cana is an additional cost if you deicde to go outside the parish on one of those weekend retreats sponsored by the diocese.

and that's it...

you provide the flowers or use what's already in the church from another wedding or funeral

the priest doesn't get a 'cut' as it's his job to perform the Sacraments..

Essentially, the money is a 'gift' to the Church in grateful receipt of the Sacrament. Any church will marry you for nothing, but many churches have fees now as a form of tithing, if that makes sense. It's hard not to give the church anything when you show up with a photographer, videographer, limo, etc. etc. it really is just proper etiquette and grace, IMO to give a donation, but like I said, if money was truly an issue (where for most of on these boards, it's not to the poitn where we couldn't give the Church anything) the church respectully asks for a reasonable tithe/donation.
