St. Lucia ?

i absolutely loved loved LOVED the regency. honestly they're all nice....but our travel agent reccomened the Regency because it had the largest selection of restaurants/bars and more pools & such....which led to there being more of a young crowd... if anything u can hop between all three st.lucia resorts so u'll get to experience all of them if u want.... we hopped to the grande for a day(it's only like a 15-20min. shuttle ride) & i did really like it....we had a really yummy lunch right on the beach & because they're in the bay all the water sports are always open(because the regency is on the ocean & part of a bluff there's a chance the water can be rough & they close the watersports on certain days....but honestly - THE POOLS!!! they're just so beautiful & they all have swimup bars which are fabulous lol...so it was just as good - and the watersports were only closed twice while we were there) ...we had dinner at the grande one night & neither DH nor i were too crazy about it....but i heard they're one restaurant is great which we never hit.....i will say that the sunsets at the grande were beautiful....I can say, that i much more prefered the restaurants at the Regency...more variety & just better food in my opinion...but like i said - there were two restaurants at the grande that we never got too..... there are pros & cons to both - so dont stress too much! u just have to look at each, weigh ur options, and see what u prefer from one to the other. If u do end up staying at the regency let me know - i'll give u a whole review of all the restaurants & stuff! and remember - u can always resort hop good luck!

We're staying at the Halcyon in St. Lucia- FH's godmother is a travel agent and has been to all three resorts and stayed there- she told us that if she would be able to go back she'd stay at the Halcyon (it's a nice ocean view).

Also you can visit the other two resorts so it really doesn't matter which you stay at -they're all nice.

We haven't gone yet but everyone we spoke to (in real life) told us the Grande was the nicest. It's a matter of your own preferences though -- the Grande is bigger and newer and some of the other locations are more rustic, authentic, less resort-y. I think the Grande is somewhat more expensive than the others so if you are on a budget you could definitely stay at one of the other places to cut costs and then take the bus to the other locations.

We plan on checking them all out! I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

We're spending 7 nights at one resort but part of me wishes we were doing 4 at one and 3 at another just to get more of a varied experience.

I am doing the Grande. I have heard the food is better at the Regency though, but we care more about the beach, etc!

Also I heard the Regency is very spread out and you have to take shuttles everytime you want to go somewhere. That did not appeal to us. I like being able to walk out of my room and pop right down to the bar or right down to the pool, etc!
