st lucia helicopter ride

Did anyone do this? DId you think it was worth it?

I didn't so I can't say if its worth it....just that I honestly didn't find the drive to the hotel that bad. I'm not sure which resort you're staying at....but I stayed at Sandals Regency, and it was less than hour from the airport. The roads WERE windy, and the drivers were a little insane...but we didn't find it that bad. Maybe thats just because we expected the absolute WORST b/c of reading and hearing all the reviews. However, the Grande is about 30-35 minutes further than the Regency.

That being said, if you have the money (which we didn't)...it would probably be an awesome trip, especially b/c St Lucia is beautiful, and you get to see it all from the air!!!

we didn't do it, but the ride to and from the airport was painless!

Thanks girls. Our travel agent said its a great way to see the island. (I'm not really concerned about the bus ride) Just wondering

we did it and LOVED it! DH actually surprised me with it. I get motion sickness and heard some horror stories about the busride. He didn't want me to be sick and he didnt want it to take a few hours to get to the resort so we did the helicopter ride there and back. It was WONDERFUL and a fabulous way to see the island! I HIGHLY recommend it!

i heard some people on line behind me at the airport said they did it and that it was awesome. if you can swing it, why not?
