St. Lucia ... Opinions!

Hey Ladies, is anyone booked for a sandals St. Lucia honeymoon?

if yes, where are you staying? FH & I are looking into it, and cant decide which resort!!!

We're staying at the Regenc (La Toc) and we got the Hibiscus walk out room...

I honestly asked a friend who is a regional manager for Sandals what she would go with and told her to book that for us...that's what she gave us!

AND...its sad to say that I just had to text msg her to ask where/what we booked

We just got back from Sandals Grande - OMG, obsessed w/ that place. It's the biggest one out of the other two, and has the best beach. We absolutely LOVED it there.

AHH!. My FH and I are trying to decide on which resort. the Grande or the La Toc. Hopefully he can decide because I ca nt! :)

We are staying at the Halcyon beach resort. Its the smallest and most intimate of the three sandals in St. Lucia. We have a room with our own beach access from our front door! Can't wait! FMIL bought the trip so she picked the resort. She stayed at la toc when she went but wished she had gone with Halcyon. I'm so excited! Can't wait!

I am staying at Almond Bay Resorts...It is not as big as sandals but is much less expensive

We're staying at the (Regency) La Toc.

Originally we were planning to stay at the Grande, it's the biggest, with the best beach, but we waited too long to plan (We booked in Feb for a June honeymoon) and a lot of rooms were getting booked up.

For just a few hundred more than a mid-range room at the Grande, we were able to get an amazing suite at La Toc. It's a Penthouse Suite with butler service. What really attracted me to this was that La Toc has the SUnset bluffs which is kind of a resort within a resort where the Millionaire's Suites (if only!!!!) and all of the Butler Service rooms are, and it has amazing views, a quiter sunset view pool, etc. It's a removed area, so it's quieter and a little more upscale than the resort at large.

The main downside to La Toc is that it has a smaller beach which is often very rough so there will be days when you can't swim in the ocean. They have amazing pools though, so I'm not too upset.

I think having the Butler service will more than make up for it, since we'll get our lounge chairs reserved and reservations made.

We do plan to go to the Grande one day to enjoy the beach.

I would carefully look at the prices and schedules. I spent a lot of time getting different quotes on the website and talking to my TA and I got a much better deal at La Toc.

Halcyon is smaller with an older crowd I'm told, but very lush vegetation, vey quiet and intimate and it has that restaurant that goes over the water.

I just saw you're October. You need to get on it soon. Within a week or so that I was seriously looking, stuff started to book up like crazy.

I would look at the room categories you like at each resort and compare the prices with the current specials (La Toc for us had 1 night free, which is why we were able to get a MUCH higher room for basically the same price). I think that can help you make the decision

We're at the Sandals Grande, it is definitely my fav out of the 3!! However you have access to all 3 of the Sandals in St. Lucia so def just pick whats best for you and you can still see eat and play at the other ones.

We just paid off our trip to The Regency La Toc and added 3 excursions - horse back riding, zip linning and the private dinner on the beach (not really an excursion though).

We got the butler service room and the reason we went with this resort over the Grande is b/c it's smaller and has more restaurants.

I'm not that much of a beach person so I didn't mind this beach not being as nice as the Grande, but we have access to the Grande so it didn't really matter.

Plus The Regency has a special going and it wasn't applicable to the Grande.

You're going to have an AMAZING time. Make sure when you go to the pool bar, that you find Peter and ask him for the 'Peter Special' hah and make sure you go to Toscanini's for breakfast and dinner (you need reservations) and get the French toast for breakfast and the steak for dinner...freakin' deliciousness!!!

Oh and everyone should do the zip lining during the day in the rainforest - SOO MUCH FUN!!!!

Thank you all so much for the opinions!!!

My FH & I just looked into both the Sandals Resorts, and since the room we are interested in at the Grande was only available after a certain date we decided to split the 10 nights up between 2 resorts.

So the first 4 nights we will be staying at the La Toc in the 'Honeymoon Regency Hideaway One Bedroom Suite with Private Pool' room.

& for the last 6 nights we will be staying at the Grande in the 'Ultra Grande Luxe Beachfront Rondoval Suite w/ Private Plunge Pool and Whirlpool'

Although we haven't booked it yet, we will be tomorrow!!!!!!

I dont know if you still use this site, but I was looking at Coconut Bay resort as well for my honeymoon and was wondering what you thought about it and if you would reccommend it?
