St. Patrick's Bay Shore

Hi ladies! 2012 Bride looking for info on St. Patrick's in Bay Shore

Has anyone been married by Father Harold?

Any info would be great-feeling super nervous about church 'accommodations'

Re: St. Patrick's Bay Shore

Hello,

I baptised my nephew three years ago there. I called recently about getting married there, and since I am not a parishoner, I would be charged $1000 for the ceremony. I didn't think was fair or ethical of the church. So that left a bad taste in my mouth with them.

Have you met with the priest? Maybe you can meet a few times before you decide on the church. That's my plan. I want to feel comfortable with someone. My priest in my parish retired about 5 years ago.

This church is so great!!! We were Father Harold's first engaged couple he met with. Everything has been so smooth so far and pre-cana was a lot of fun...they groups of like 40 couples!

I'm getting married there in 2 weeks by Father Thomas. I had first went here for a wedding 12 years ago and I still remember the service and thats why I wanted to get married here.

I recommend it! Love this church!

I was so happy to read this response :)
I'm so nervous that our ceremony won't be personal and focused on who we are, if that makes any sense lol

A few of our friends have just gotten married and I felt like their Pastor etc made their ceremony all about them and really got to know who they are and incorporate that into their ceremony rather than it being outdated and boring

I think I'm also nervous about pictures coming out dark inside the church
