I haven't thought about it yet either. But you only have to pay $700?!? We have to pay $750. It must be because we're getting married in 2008.

We're $725. One of my friends is paying $700 for St. Mary in East Islip only 3 months before me. How much extra do you tip the priest? Do you have to tip the organ player too?

FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!!THE MAN WORKS FOR GOD!!! Why in the WORLD should we have to tip them..... I thought that priests thought nothing of wealth.... HELLO- if we just had babies out of wedlock & stayed happily shacking up with our FH's then the priests would be telling us we're sinners & going to hell.... we all want to do the right thing & say our vows in front of God & our friends & familys- THEY SHOULD BE PAYING US!!!!

just a little vent.... I'm stressing about the expenses of a wedding.... padding the pockets of the priest was not something that occured to me!

It's my understanding you don't tip the priest (since they work for God).

You do tip the musicians and altar servers though!

ETA: I'm not a St. Patrick's of Bayshore bride though!

yeah we're paying 700 thats way tooo much money for a ceremony!! my sister got married there too and she only payed 325!! yeah it was 9 yrs ago but still its crazy! i'm not tipping my priest!! haha ok thats a joke...since i ave too...but its still stupid ur paying too much as it is
