Is anyone getting married in this church? I was wondering what the music rules were.

Re: St Patrick's Bayshore Brides
They will send out an invatation to a music sampling that they do at the church. I think they do it a few times during the year but you should call them.

Re: St Patrick's Bayshore Brides
They did the basic church songs with the lady singing (I dont remember her name but her voice was really nice to) and they showed us the music with and with out the trumpeteers it is a $100 extra but I think its worth it..so we added it.

Oh wow that would be fantastic. I'd actually like to have my reception start at 7:00 or 7:30 at the GCH so that would be good. I've never been there in person but pictures online look REALLY pretty. Is it pretty in person on the inside??
I'm not a parishioner there - I'm a parishioner at St. James Church in East Setauket but I don't want to get married there. I know that St. Patrick's allows non-parishioners to get married there but do you think they would be as accommodating to us??

I belong to the St. Patrick's in Bay Shore and yes, it is very beautiful inside. Also, all of the priests are great and the women in the rectory are very helpful as well. We have not had ANY bad experiences with them. Good luck!

That's fantastic to hear because I've heard that sooooooo many Catholic churches give brides a hard time, especially if they book the hall first. When I go, do you think it is okay to mention that the hall is booked already??

I am wondering the same thing. I may not mention it. I am not a parishioner either.
