Has anyone looked into getting married at St. Patrick's Cathedral? If so, any info you can share? My fiancé thinks it would be cool to get married there. I think it might be more of a hassle and an expense. Your thoughts?

Re: St. Patrick's Cathedral?
I always thought it would be difficult to get married there, but a coworker just told me he is getting married there. If your interested, I'll ask.

Re: St. Patrick's Cathedral?
i thought about because my family is a member of the parish - elaine deluca my coordinator has done weddings there
just some things to be aware- the cathedral is always open to the public- so you will hav people walking off the street in
there are metal detectors for bags
i also remeber there were a lot of strange rules

I always wanted that when I was little but its wouldn't be private you would have tourists coming in and out which I don't like

Re: St. Patrick's Cathedral?
The couple who we had pre-cana with got married in the small chapel thats connected to it, not exactly the same, but it may be easier

I don't think you can get married at the main altar, just one of the smaller side altars, but not 100% sure about that.
