Re: St. Patrick's day
We usually don't make much of the parade, but we are taking the day off and going to McSorley's at 8am (lunatics yes - but its a lot of fun!) then the parade, and then home!!!!

We are hoping to go. It all depends on the weather. I don't want to make my son stand out if it's freezing out!!!

DH is marching, but I won't get into the city until around 3ish. But it should be fun!

Tracy - stand up by the Museum on 82nd (I think that's the street) - if it's cold you guys can go inside and pay the fee (it's a suggested donation - I think children are free too but I'm not 100% on that) and you can look around or eat in their cafe.
That's what we normally do, and then we use the bathroom too.

Re: St. Patrick's day
Tomorrow we may see the WolfeTones perform in Yonkers. FH's friend & wife flew in for it and they are marching in the parade. FH was going to as well but has to work a 1/2 day and doesn't want to march in cold weather. We'll probably come back up to the Bronx and go out to eat and have some drinks in the evening. Nothing too out of hand.(for once!)

The Wolfe Tones are my husbands favorite band!!!
We usually stay in the 50's & 60's so that we can meet our friend & go to lunch.

St. Patrick's Day is Jim's Birthday!!
Unfortunately its going to be a stressful one for me. I have my IME (independent medical examination) to determine the extent of my injuries related to my workers comp claim. That's at about 4pm. So Jim and I are going to try to relax for the day and probably take him out to eat.

Hey...X---St. Patricks Day is my FH's birthday too! We're celebrating Friday night though. Since I'm in the city, I will probably try to catch some of the parade on my lunch hour... But it's usually just mass (drunken) chaos and that doesn't really appeal to me.

Heh.. St Patty day boys. haha We want to see Dawn of the Dead but that probably won't happen until Saturday or Sunday.
I originally planned to make him dinner for his bday: Lobster, angel hair pasta with garlic and fresh cheese with mussells and some asparagus. That got ditched cause I'm all freaked out with this appt. Instead we'll do dinner instead. Early dinner so we miss the crowds.
I don't mind looking out the window at the parades and stuff from my office. I hope it doesn't snow on the parade tho. We'll probably watch some of it on TV!
