St. Patrick's Day is one week before my wedding...

And everyone is saying I shouldn't celebrate, I might get sick. I'm so bummed b/c I am very Irish and St. Pat's never falls on a Saturday.

Do you think it's a bad idea??

why can't you celebrate??? it's a whole week....FH and I are in the same boat, we are going out to a fancy dinner, just us, turning off all cell phones, and are 'disappearing' for the day...

Celebrate...just don't go too hard! Take care of yourself before and after....like, get a lot of sleep and eat right and take Vitamin C. Then you can fight off anything.
Except if you get drinking sick....but that can't last a week! have fun!

do u usually get very sick?

I say celebrate, dont go overboard.. you'll be fine!

No, I'm not a crazy drinker either, but I think everything the week before your wedding feels like be careful!!

I think as long as you don't go around wearing a 'Kiss me, I'm Irish' shirt and making out with random dudes who are drunk off green beer, you'll be fine! Just have fun in moderation!

It's a really good idea. I think in the long run it will help you enjoy your day more b/c you decompressed the week before.
