I am going to do my wedding either day before or the day of st. pats in 2008. Anyone have any pics of a st. pats style or irish style wedding??? Thanks!

Re: St. Pats Weddings??
I went to a wedding this past St Patricks day. The BM dresses were green, they had one of those Irish Step dancers do a little dance and the CPs were Pots of Gold filled with chocolates.

I am also having a March of 08 wedding. I have a family member who has lived in IrelAnd and they have said.. NUMEROUS TIMES that Dark green would never be worn to a wedding... its considered bad luck. GO FIGURE! I think I might need to do it anyways

Hahah go figure. I dig green though. I don't think the guests would like a blue theme on a st. pats day themed wedding. Oh well!
Thanks!

We're getting married on 3/29/08. . .couldn't do it any sooner cause of easter and palm sunday which falls on the two weekends before my wedding and would cause MAJOR problems for us.
but we are doing a st. pat's theme. Girls in green dresses, yellow white and green flowers, the irish blessing song included in the mass at some point, and my favorite part, Corned beef at the Cocktail hour!

I LOVE these ideas!

I know there is an Irish Brides thread on the BHB if you run a search - they offer each other ideas on what diff. girls are doing.

Re: St. Pats Weddings??
I'm getting married March 31st and it never even occured to me to do a st. pat's theme. My fiance's bday is the day after so I guess I kind of forget about it.... the funny thing is - I'm 50% Irish - like g'ma's off the boat and majority of my family is still there....and I was there this summer for 2 weeks. I Irish danced for 17 years and I'm not planning on having any Irish dancing at the wedding.
