St. Rose of Lima..........questions

Hi girls! Anyone getting married at St. Rose of Lima in Massapequa? Just saw pics of the church and fell in love with it....

Do you know if they perform wedding ceremonies on Friday nights?

Also, do you know if they would give me a hard time because my FH is divorced? He was married in city hall, but never in a Catholic church.....would we need a dispensation or would proof of his divorce suffice?

still 'shopping' for a church.......

Thanks!

I was going to get married there, but we decided to do it at the hall. My family has alot of history at that church. It's gorgeous--and has the longest aisle on the island I know my aunt was going to have her second marriage there, but since the first wasn't annulled they wanted like $1000 to grant an annulment before they would agree to marry them. You should call and ask what their requirements are. Good luck!

goodness gracious.......$1,000? hope he won't need the annulment in order for us to get married there. I called earlier this morning and spoke to someone there. She really couldn't answer my questions, but she took down my info and said that she would give it to Fr. Bala and have him call me back.......

Still waiting anxiously........lol
